Yellow 08

The grey undertone makes it read warm without ever feeling too bright, and the matt finish softens the whole room like a filter. I did the hallway in eggshell and the light bounces off it in a way that feels gentle all day long.

I painted my whole reading nook in the eggshell finish and it’s genuinely calming, the grey base makes it feel like a warm hug without any of the sickly sweetness of a typical yellow. The matt version in the hallway picks up the late afternoon light beautifully too.

The grey undertone keeps this from going too bright, so it reads as a soft golden yellow instead of a nursery-school yellow. Painted it in the matt finish on a north-facing wall and the room feels warmer without being dark at all.
